In Memory of Ernie Branco
It is with great sadness that the Norton Youth Soccer League regrets to inform you that Ernie Branco has passed away. Ernie as many of you know was our summer camp director and a beloved NYS coach. For those whom Ernie made acquaintances with, they were lucky ones. For those who were not so fortunate to make the acquaintance, you may have missed meeting one of God’s angels in disguise.
Ernie was a great selfless man who became a friend of the soccer league when we needed help to move our program forward. With his assistance and direction we were able to create a summer soccer camp for the youth of Norton. He had such a way about him that once you spoke with Ernie you most certainly left the conversation with a smile on your face. The amazing thing about that part is that it didn’t matter if he was speaking with a child or an adult. Ernie possessed a great heart and was such a giving man that once you met him, you were touched by his greatness. Ernie was a friend, a mentor and a role model for all the children who participated in his summer program and for that matter, we are sure for everyone that he crossed paths with.
The league would like to extend our condolences to Ernie’s family in their time of need; his wife Jennifer, son Jordan and his daughters Tiffany and Morgan. We were blessed with the gift of Ernie and thank you for sharing him with us.
